Creating a Safe and Supportive Space

Our foremost commitment is to create an environment of care, respect, and safety for everyone involved—both participants and facilitators. All practices offered during this day retreat are guided with kindness, sensitivity, and inclusion.

The mindfulness and meditation practices shared are gentle in nature and accessible to beginners. Simple breathing techniques may be used, which, while soft and unforced, can bring about meaningful and sometimes profound effects.

Every session is offered with thoughtful attention to individual needs and personal capacity. Practices are conducted responsibly and with care for physical and emotional wellbeing.

Possible Experiences During Practice

Mindfulness and meditation are powerful, time-honoured tools for healing and self-awareness. While often deeply calming, these practices may also bring about natural physiological or emotional responses.

Participants may experience effects including, but not limited to:

• Tingling or warmth

• Light-headedness

• Heightened physical sensations

• Emotional release

• Sensations of energy or vibration moving through the body

• Spontaneous memories or insights arising

These responses are considered a normal part of the process for some individuals.

Important Health Information

For safety reasons, certain conditions may require additional consideration before participating in meditation or beginner breathwork practices. If you have asthma, breathing techniques can be adapted to support you safely.

Please inform us if any of the following apply to you:

• Pregnancy (first trimester)

• Detached retina or glaucoma

• High blood pressure not managed with medication

• Cardiovascular conditions, including angina, previous heart attack, or stroke

• Respiratory conditions, including asthma

If you have answered yes to any of the above, it is advised that you seek guidance from your GP, psychotherapist, or psychiatrist before participating in mindfulness, meditation, or beginner breathwork practices.

If you are uncertain whether these practices are suitable for you, please reach out in advance so we can discuss your circumstances with care and discretion.
